7/11 Breathing

As you inhale, count to 7.
Pause.
As you exhale, count to 11.
Pause.
And repeat…

6-7 rounds takes roughly 2 minutes – it takes around 2 minutes for a fast-beating heart to settle back into a normal rhythm when emotionally aroused, and your brain loves numbers! They’re logical and soothing – not only do you engage in counting the 7/11 breaths but also keeping track of which round it is fully engages the thought processes!
