As a qualified and experienced therapist, Geraldine works with people to help them overcome a variety of issues. She believes in a ‘whole body’ approach – essentially, what happens in the body affects the mind, and vice versa.
For example, someone needing help with weight management often has an underlying issue with sleep or stress. If these factors aren’t addressed, then losing weight is going to an uphill struggle! Or someone with, say, a drop in confidence may have a seemingly unrelated pressure going on elsewhere in their life, or perhaps an issue with their hormones making them feel unbalanced.
Geraldine’s own journey into wellness began as a stressed-out marketing executive, juggling family demands with work that involved extensive travelling across the world – and a side business too! It’s not a unique story, in fact it’s fairly common place, that feeling of ‘running on empty’ that so many people live with but few really understand or deal with.
And the result? Being over-stressed, burned out, exhausted, physical and mental health problems, relationship breakdown, addiction to alcohol, shopping, food… You just don’t feel like the real you anymore.
A key part of seeing Geraldine on a one-to-one basis is the rapport-building. Building a therapeutic relationship based on trust: trust that she can help get you to where you want to be, and trust that you will do the work needed to get there.
